Don commercial vehicle brake lining material specification sheets are design to give a number of basic characteristics about each of our current range of friction materials.
Information covers typical vehicle applications, identifying materials suitable for truck, trailer or bus and where applicable, which brake type, such as S-cam or high factor wedge. The sheet also indicates the material's OE status.
The friction performance/output section gives a guide to the potential change in braking efficiency at various temperatures based on the internationally recognised SAE J661 test. Changing output at various temperatures is a design feature in all Don materials and provides the driver with 'feel' so that stopping distances can be safely anticipated.
